Privacy and advertising

Last updated: October 27, 2026. Transparency about what the tools process and what may be shared.

Files and input text

CSV and JSON files are read and transformed by JavaScript in your browser. The site does not have a file-upload API. Editor contents stay in a separate cross-origin editor iframe and are not shared with advertisers.

Web hosting logs

As with most websites, your hosting provider may process ordinary request metadata such as IP address, page path, user agent, and time for delivery and security. We use a third-party host to deliver the website; the hosting provider may retain request logs under its own policies.

Advertising

On the homepage and informational pages, Adsterra banner, native, pop-under and social-bar codes load automatically unless you previously disabled ads. Pop-under ads may open additional windows or tabs after user interaction. A sponsored external link requires a deliberate click. You can disable new ad loads via Ad settings. Third-party advertisers may process browser identifiers, IP information and cookies; consent-based controls may be required in some jurisdictions. Each CSV or JSON tool page includes clearly marked ads outside a separate editor frame hosted on the Netlify fallback origin. Ad code on the tool page cannot access input inside the cross-origin frame. These ad scripts may collect information before you opt out. Use Ad settings to disable future loads while continuing to use the free tools.

Local preferences

Advertising is enabled by default on informational and tool pages; the actual data editor operates on a distinct origin. Your browser can remember an opt-out under a local preference. Use Ad settings in the footer to hide ads on later page loads, or re-enable them. Disabling ads reloads the page without initiating further advertising requests.

Safety limits

The tools cap input at 2 MB and do not intentionally execute uploaded documents, remote code, or CSV formulas. We recommend independently reviewing downloaded files before importing them into important systems.
